Rupali Ganguly, a famous TV actress, made a rare public appearance on Wednesday morning. She was out with her mother.
This happened during her fight with her stepdaughter, Esha Verma. Rupali didn’t talk about the things Esha said or the defamation case she filed. Instead, she talked about voting.
Rupali went to vote in the 2024 Maharashtra Elections. She showed her inked finger and encouraged her fans to vote too. She said, "I have done my duty. I urge all of you to do the same."
Recently, Rupali made news when Esha accused her of breaking up her parents’ marriage. Rupali’s husband, Ashwin K Verma, defended her. But Esha also said that Rupali was abusive. She said Rupali hurt her and her mom, both physically and emotionally.
Esha shared her side of the story, saying, “I don’t know what Rupali and Ashwin will say next. I know my father said something on Twitter, but he lied.
Rupali came to my house in New Jersey and slept in my mom’s bed—the bed my parents shared. She has done so much, hurting me and my mom in many ways.”
To respond, Rupali filed a defamation lawsuit against Esha. She is asking for Rs 50 crore in damages. According to Hindustan Times, Rupali filed the lawsuit with the help of a famous lawyer, Sana Raees Khan.
Rupali says Esha’s accusations have hurt her reputation. Rupali’s team also said she was upset by what Esha said about her 11-year-old son, Rudransh.
