RINL presents 5 battery operated cars to KGH

In a noble gesture, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on Friday donated five battery operated cars to King George Hospital (KGH).
KGH is a premier government hospital, which attracts patients from North Andhra, South Odisha and parts of Chhattisgarh. The cars will facilitate easy transportation of patients. Conveying his gratitude to RINL for its gesture Dr A Mallikarjuna, District Collector, said at a programme held at KGH that the cars will benefit the patients a lot.
The donation was made as part of CER (corporate environment responsibility) initiative of RINL. The cars were inaugurated by Mallikarjuna, Chairman of Hospital Development Society, KGH along with AK Bagchi, Director (Projects) of RINL in the presence of Dr P Ashok Kumar, Superintendent, KGH; Dr G Butchi Raju, Principal, Andhra Medical College and a host of senior doctors and officials of RINL.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mallikarjuna appreciated the noble gesture of CMD and management of RINL in coming forward towards providing the much needed battery-operated cars towards internal transportation of the patients within KGH premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Bagchi, said, “It is indeed a matter of pride and privilege for RINL to have associated with such a noble cause. It gives us immense happiness that RINL has been supporting the needy and underprivileged in the society."
