RINL, IOCL ink 5-yr lubricant supply deal
RINL-IOCL exchanging MoU copies in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday
Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, on Tuesday signed a MoU with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) for the supply of hydraulic and lubricating oils and greases for a period of five years from 2024 to 2029. The MoU documents were exchanged by AK Bagchi, Director (Projects) & additional charge Director (Operations), RINL and B. Anil Kumar, ED & State Head (TPSO-Telangana, Andhra Pradesh State office), IOCL in the presence of R.Uday Kumar, ED (Lubes), IOCL, U. Sridhar, CGM (Works)I/c, RINL and others.
The MoU will benefit VSP to ensure uninterrupted supply of lubricants from IOCL to meet its requirement. IOCL will provide technical support to VSP in the field of lubrication, condition monitoring of critical and large hydraulic and lube systems, total bulk oil handling and used oil management. Speaking on the occasion, Bagchi described the MoU as a benchmark to show how a progressive collaborative work can be taken by different industries towards nation-building and thanked IOCL for developing several critical grades of lubricants in vital areas to meet the stringent operational requirements of RINL. In his message, Uday Kumar said that the signing of MoU is a milestone. He said the long-cherished association for over decades between RINL and IOCL is due to the trust and professional excellence after signing the first MoU in 1994-95.
