The event will feature a ceremonial march led by President Droupadi Murmu. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will commence the proceedings by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial to honor India’s fallen soldiers. This year’s theme, "Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas," highlights India’s cultural heritage and developmental progress.
President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia will not only attend as the chief guest but will also lead an Indonesian contingent in the parade. The event will showcase tableaux from various states and ministries, cultural performances, and a display of military strength.
Tickets for the parade are available at designated counters in Delhi and online through the Aamantran mobile app and website. Prices range from Rs 20 for unreserved seating to Rs 100 for reserved seats. Ticket holders must carry a valid photo ID for entry.
The Delhi Metro will provide free rides for ticket holders on Sunday, and special shuttle services will operate between metro stations and the venue. The Republic Day celebrations will conclude with the Beating Retreat ceremony on January 29 at Vijay Chowk, New Delhi.
