Rekha Gupta Sworn in as Delhi’s New Chief Minister as BJP Returns to Power
Alongside her, six other MLAs were appointed as ministers, taking charge of key departments such as Education, Health, and Transport.

After 27 years, the BJP is back in power in Delhi. Rekha Gupta became the Chief Minister at a ceremony at Ramlila Maidan on Thursday. This is a big change for the city.
Many important leaders attended, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers JP Nadda and Amit Shah, and other Chief Ministers from NDA states. Rekha Gupta is the ninth Chief Minister of Delhi. Along with her, six other MLAs were sworn in as ministers.
Delhi Cabinet and Their Work Areas:
- Rekha Gupta (Chief Minister) - She will take care of Home, Finance, Services, Intelligence, and Planning (Shalimar Bagh MLA).
- Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma (Deputy CM) - He will look after Education, Public Works, and Transport (New Delhi MLA).
- Manjinder Singh Sirsa - He will handle Health, Urban Development, and Industries (Rajouri Garden MLA).
- Ravindra Kumar Indraj - He will work on Social Welfare, SC/ST Affairs, and Labour (Bhavana MLA).
- Kapil Mishra - He will manage Water, Tourism, and Culture (Karawal Nagar MLA).
- Ashish Sood - He will be responsible for Revenue, Environment, Food, and Civil
