Hyderabad: N V Subhash, grandson of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, left to New Delhi on Friday, along with his family members, to attend the Bharat Ratna awards ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The BJP Telangana Spokesperson said, “I am setting off to Delhi with my family to witness my grandfather, posthumously receiving the nation’s highest civilian award, the ‘Bharat Ratna,’ from the President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday 11 am.”
It is already known that the government has conferred Bharat Ratna on PV Narasimha Rao posthumously. Earlier, Subhash said that the former Prime Minister’s contribution was ignored for a long time.
“I am really delighted Narasimha Rao has got the Bharat Ratna. His contribution has been recognised. I am very happy and thankful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
