PM to inaugurate IIMV’s Rs 472 cr green campus

Visakhapatnam: The permanent campus of Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam, which has come up in an area of 241.5 acres on the city outskirts at Gambheeram will be virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
The campus has come up in sprawling campus amidst 8,500 trees. The land has been made available by the State Government free of cost. IIMV is a valuable national asset of about 62,350 square meters of built-up area, constructed at a cost of Rs 472.61 crore, according to IIM Director Prof M Chandrasekhar.
The campus is a digitally enabled state-of-the-art facility with 5-star GRIHA rating equipped with a 1500 kWp solar power bank connected to the grid; It has a 216 KL per day water treatment plant, and a 150 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant.
