PM Modi to Pay Tribute to Indian Soldiers at Marseille War Cemetery—Live Updates

PM Modi France Updates: PM Modi arrived in Marseille along with French president Emmanuel Macron after delivering the inaugural address at the AI Action Summit in Paris. EU Commission president Urusula Von Der Leyen, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and UN chief Antonio Guterres were also present at the prestigious AI summit.

In his speech the Modi in France demanded that the government invest in training and reskilling individuals to prepare for the future of AI (AI)driven future. Modi also stated the importance of governance in providing the accessibility of all people, especially for those in regions of Global South.

France announced that India will host at the forthcoming AI summit following PM Modi expressed his interest. India has also promised France that it would fully support its efforts in the field of AI.

Premiership ministers also addressed at the France-India CEOS Forum held in Paris in which he called for collaboration between companies in France and India.

In a speech that highlighted progress in the areas of infrastructure, manufacturing, and production in a range of sectors, Modi called for businesses to be part of the Indian market, as the nation moved towards achieving Viksit Bharat in 2047.

Modi was a guest at a dinner that was hosted by president Macron on the Elysee Palace in honour of visiting Heads of State and Government. State. It was attended by CEOs of tech companies as well as numerous other notable guests to the summit.

AI Action Summit AI Action Summit assumes significance following the technological disruptions caused due to China's DeepSeek. The minister of IT Ashwini Vaishnaw said that India is planning to create a domestic AI model.

Modi has also spoken at the France-India CEOs Forum, in which he urged businesses to get into to the Indian market and also highlighted the progress made by India on a variety of areas.

This Wednesday Modi visits Mazargues War Cemetery that is managed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission in Marseille to pay homage to the sacrifices of Indian soldiers during World War I.

Modi along with Macron will also be visiting Cadarache which is the location for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) a high-tech research project.
