Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to convene with 50,000 farmers in Varanasi during his upcoming visit on June 18, as disclosed by BJP’s Kashi region chief, Dilip Patel.

During the event, he will also personally meet 21 farmers at the Kisan meet venue in Mehandiganj and see the agricultural products they've grown.

The Prime Minister will release the 17th instalment of Kisan Samman Nidhi and talk with the farmers. This will be his first visit to Varanasi since starting his third term.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will honor 30,000 Krishi Sakhis, including five women farmers from eastern Uttar Pradesh. After arriving on Tuesday afternoon, he will speak to the farmers at Mehdiganj, visit Kashi Vishwanath temple for prayers, and attend Ganga aarti at Dashaswamedh ghat.

He will stay overnight and leave for Delhi on Wednesday morning. Preparations for the visit, including security arrangements by Commissioner of Police Mohit Agrawal and Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma, have been finalized.

Briefing sessions for arriving security forces are set for Monday afternoon.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will join the event, where Prime Minister Modi will receive a warm welcome with the chant of ‘Har Har Mahadev’.

Farmers from remote villages will arrive at the Kisan Sammelan using buses, tractors, and vehicles, while those from nearby areas will march on foot accompanied by the beat of drums, Patel elaborated.
