New IRCTC Train Ticket Reservation Rules; Indian Railways Updates Advance Booking Policy

Indian Railways is changing its ticket booking system. From November 1, 2024, you can book train tickets 60 days in advance instead of 120 days. This will help you plan your trips more easily.

Current Tickets: Tickets already booked won’t be affected by this change.

AI Enhancements:

Indian Railways will use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the booking process. AI will help confirm more tickets and has already increased the confirmation rate by 30%. -

Food and Linens: AI will check the quality of food and linens on trains.

Other Improvements:

Safety: Train accidents have reduced from 171 to 68 per year because of better safety measures.

Infrastructure: The government is investing ₹2,62,200 crores to improve railways in 2024-25.

Electrification: Over 41,655 kilometers of track have been electrified in the last ten years, making trains more efficient.

These changes will make train travel safer, easier, and more comfortable for everyone.
