The NEET UG 2024 Round 1 counselling registration began on August 14, 2024, with several important deadlines approaching.
Candidates need to complete their registration by August 20, 2024, at noon, and pay the registration fee by 3 PM on the same day.
The choice-filling period runs from August 16 to August 20, 2024, ending at 11:55 PM. Choice locking will take place on August 20, 2024, from 4 PM to 11:55 PM.
The seat allotment results for Round 1 will be announced on August 23, 2024.
Seat Allocation
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a total of 26,582 seats available for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing across All India Quota, Central Universities, Deemed Universities, AIIMS, ESIC, and JIPMER institutions. The counselling process is set to continue through four rounds, concluding on October 30, 2024.
The number of rounds may be extended if needed to fill vacant seats.
State Counselling
Some state counselling authorities have either commenced or are preparing to start the NEET 2024 counselling process for 85% State Quota seats.

Counselling will cover both All India Quota (15%) and State Quota (85%) seats. Only candidates who meet the NEET cutoff marks are eligible for counselling.
