In a video address at a virtual roadshow organised by the ministry in association with Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) here on the three-day Global Maritime India Summit (GMIS) scheduled to be held in Delhi from October 17 to 19, he underscored the collective ambition to make India a leader among the nations and explained the strategic importance of the upcoming summit. He rallied the spirit of togetherness to achieve greater collaboration, innovation, and prosperity for the maritime sector.
Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shantanu Thakur in his message highlighted the significance of the global maritime industry in shaping India’s prosperity. He said “GMIS 2023 serves as a unifying platform for stakeholders worldwide and devising policies that strengthen maritime bonds and drive progress for everyone.”
