India's Ministry of External Affairs stated in their weekly briefing that no information has been received from the US regarding the Adani Group, firmly refuting reports suggesting that Chairman Gautam Adani had been summoned.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal commented, "India was not given any prior notice on this matter. In fact, we have not engaged with the US government concerning this issue at all."

He added, "We regard this as a legal matter involving private entities and individuals under the jurisdiction of the US Department of Justice. There are established procedures and legal avenues for addressing such situations, and we trust they will be adhered to."

In response to the allegations, the Adani Group claimed that various media outlets, both foreign and domestic, have demonstrated a "flawed understanding" of the US indictment, leading to "incorrect and reckless reporting" regarding supposed corruption and bribery charges against three of its directors.

Denying the allegation, they said that the allegations were baseless and announced a plan to pursue legal action to defend itself.
