Maruti Suzuki's highly anticipated electric vehicle, the e Vitara, has finally been disclosed. This all-new born-electric midsize SUV from the Japanese automaker is set to arrive in India early next year to compete with the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Mahindra BE 05 and Hyundai Creta EV.

- Battery Options: 49kWh and 61kWh, with the larger battery expected to deliver upwards of 500km on global test cycles
- Motor and Power: A single motor on the front axle generates 144 horsepower, but the larger 61-kWh battery in the single-motor car increases it to 174 horsepower.
- Brakes and Tires: Front and rear ventilated disc brakes are standard, as are 225/55 R18 tires for 2WD vehicles and 225/50 R19 tires for 4WD.

Unveiled in Milan, Italy, the electric midsize SUV measures 4,275mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,635mm in height. In addition, the electric vehicle has a 2,700mm wheelbase and 180mm ground clearance, which makes it suitable for most Indian roadways.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Launch Date
With 50% of its manufacturing intended for sale to Japan and Europe, the e Vitara is ready to make a significant contribution to the worldwide EV industry. Furthermore, the e-vitara will make its Indian premiere at the Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025 and is slated to be available in March 2025, with costs ranging from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base 49 kWh variant.
