Hyderabad latest news: The Kumbh Mela's growing attraction has led to a four-fold surge in Hyderabad-based air fares to Ayodhya and Pryagraj which now surpass the costs of flying to numerous international locations.

Airlines are asking for 24,000 to 30,000 for one-way tickets to Ayodhya and Prayagraj in January while travel tickets to Singapore, Bangkok, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and UAE destinations remain under 15,000.

Flight costs remain high during the first week of February as airfare reaches between 19,000 and 21,000 although there is only one direct flight to Ayodhya among these options.

Kumbh Mela travel costs for a flight from Hyderabad to Bangkok stands at 12,500 while a ticket to Kuala Lumpur costs slightly below 15,000.

A round Prayagraj travel tips between Hyderabad and Colombo will cost travelers under 25,000 within the coming weeks.

‘Rush for 2nd Shahi Snan'

This surge in travel demand stems from seat limitations on flight booking for Kumbh Mela to Prayagraj and Ayodhya during the second Shahi Snan event at Kumbh Mela on Jan 29. The Prayagraj airport network has grown to include 14 destinations such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, and Hyderabad.

Pilgrims show a willingness to pay any amount they need to take their trip. Abdul Majeed Faheem, chairman of Travel Agents Federation of India (AP & Telangana), stated that the rush will continue through February's end. He added: Lodging expenses near Prayagraj reach between 15,000 to 20,000 per night for people during their stay.

Moez Meghani from Max Travels confirmed to have arranged travel for 100 pilgrims bound for Kumbh within the upcoming days despite sky-high ticket prices. The current rush has become too much to handle," he admitted. The pricing structure adjusts dynamically to spike significantly during the last payment stage taking advantage of the Mahakumbh pilgrims.
