The former Telangana chief minister handed a cheque of Rs 24 lakh to Dr. Priyanka, the daughter of the late constable, for pursuing her postgraduate studies in medicine. Earlier, KCR also helped Priyanka complete her MBBS.

Following this, KCR had lunch with the family of P Kishtaiah at his residence in Nandinagar in Hyderabad. After inquiring about the well-being of the family, KCR asked Dr. Priyanka and her brother to take care of their mother and assured them of his support in the future.

K Chandrashekar Rao also requested the Congress-led State government to maintain the support for martyrs' families, as the previous BRS government did.

He emphasized the importance of honoring the sacrifices made for Telangana statehood and ensuring that the families receive continuous financial and emotional assistance to help them cope and sustain their livelihoods.

Expressing happiness over the financial assistance offered by KCR, the family thanked the BRS chief for his unwavering support and for standing by them during tough times.

In addition to helping Priyanka, KCR also ensured that her brother continued his studies.

Expressing gratitude, Kishtaiah’s wife Padmavathi said that KCR had been taking care of the well-being of the family for 15 years and helped her children continue their education.

Also speaking on the occasion, Kishtaiah’s son Rahul said that his father laid down his life for a separate Telangana state while they were in the sixth class, and since then, KCR has supported them.

He further added that KCR has been like a father figure to their mother and has taken care of them all these years with unwavering support and guidance.
