IRCTC Service Temporarily Unavailable: E-Ticketing on Website and App Down—Please Try Again Later
IRCTC's e-ticketing platform experienced one hour of maintenance on Monday. In the meantime, Indian Railways is working on a "super app" to consolidate various passenger services.

The ticketing service from the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on its website and app will be temporarily unavailable for one hour on Monday due to maintenance work.
"Due to maintenance activity, the e-ticketing service will not be available for the next hour. Please try again later. For cancellations or to file TDR, please call customer care at 14646, 0755-6610661, or 0755-4090600, or email [email protected]," IRCTC informed users.
In a related update, Indian Railways is working towards launching its “super app” by December, as reported by ET officials. This all-in-one application will enable passengers to access various services such as ticket booking, platform pass purchases, and train tracking through a single platform. Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), the app will integrate seamlessly with IRCTC’s existing systems for a smoother passenger experience.
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation recently announced a net profit of ₹305.50 crore for the second quarter of the current financial year. In comparison, the same period last year saw a profit of ₹296.45 crore. Total income for the quarter was ₹1,123.96 crore, an increase from ₹1,039.47 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Additionally, the company’s board has declared a dividend of ₹4 per equity share with a face value of ₹2. Profits from internet ticketing reached ₹300.54 crore, up from ₹274.15 crore during the same quarter. However, the company faced a loss of ₹3 crore from its tourism business.
