The 17th edition of the cash-rich and glitzy Indian Premier League (IPL) kicks off at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 22. The opening match will see the home team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lock horns with arch-rivals Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
The first match will also be preceded by a star-studded opening ceremony, which will also take place on the ground. Apart from the opening ceremony extravaganza, fans will also be treated to a mid-innings show when both teams take a breather after the first 20 overs of the match.
Noted and world famous artists A.R. Rahman, Sonu Nigam, & actors Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar will feature in the opening ceremony, which promises to be a classic sound and light show.
During the mid-innings break, DJ Axwell, a member of the Swedish House Mafia, will take the stage and belt out popular numbers that are expected to be a hit among fans.
Popular English, Bollywood, and Kollywood numbers are expected to set the house on fire, giving fans their ticket’s worth.
