India is ready to be among the very first nations to establish a long-distance hyperloop India system, following an official from the Ministry of Railways hyperloop approving the proposal for a 40-kilometre hyperloop according to a source.

The government is currently evaluating three different technologies which include magnetic levitation. The Maglev technology India for electronics in the system is being developed by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) located in Chennai and will be based on research conducted by IIT Madras (IIT-M).

Indian Railways hyperloop project is a high-speed, advanced mass transportation system that is designed to increase efficiency in transport and improve efficiency and cost effectiveness. There are many different technologies being explored worldwide to build an infrastructure for transportation that utilizes capsules that are lifted by air bearing surfaces within tubes with low pressure.

The 40-km hyperloop track facility was the result of a joint effort by L&T Constructions, Indian Railways and Avishkar hyperloop at IIT Madras. TuTr Hyperloop, a deep-tech startup from IIT Madras hyperloop research, carried out India's first commercial hyperloop pod test on Monday.

An official announcement announced it was announced that Indian Railways and IIT Madras will collaborate to develop the vertical take-off landing vehicle which will be which will be funded through Indian Railways.

India has a great potential for hyperloop. The estimated cost of a 40-kilometer test track would cost between $150 to $300 million once it is completed, based on the size of the project, according to Denis Tudor, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-founder of Swisspod Technologies, throwing light on the vast potential India has for railway innovation India technology.

India's neighbor China is also believed to be developing an infrastructure similar to hyperloop with the aim of achieving supersonic speeds.
