India clinched a convincing seven-wicket victory against Bangladesh in the Test match series at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur, securing their spot in the ICC World Test Championship final for the third consecutive time.

Despite losing more than half a day to rain, the Indian batters displayed an aggressive approach that set up the win. Yashaswi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli (29*) steered India to victory after early dismissals of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Jaiswal's quick 51 off 45 balls put India on the brink of victory before Kohli and Rishabh Pant sealed the win with three runs to spare.

The Indian bowlers also shone on the final day, with Ashwin taking 3/50, Jadeja 3/34, and Bumrah 3/17. Bangladesh, starting the day at 26/2, lost eight wickets in the extended morning session, adding just 120 runs.

Winning captain Rohit Sharma said, "It was about the overs we wanted to bowl and not our runs."India, Bangladesh, Indian Batters, ICC World Test Championship, Green Park Stadium, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Test match series, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill

"In life, we all keep moving on, and at some stage, you work with different personnel. When Rahul Bhai said he was done, it was a fantastic time we had together. Then life moved on and as a team, we had to move on. With Gautam Gambhir...I've played with him and what sort of mindset he has. Early days still, but very fruitful."

Brief scores: Bangladesh 233 all out and 146 all out (Shadman Islam 50; Ravichandran Ashwin 3/50, Ravindra Jadeja 3/34, Jasprit Bumrah 3/17) lost to India 285/9 declared and 98/3 (Yashasvi Jaiswal 51, Virat Kohli 29*, Mehidy Hasan Miraz 2/44) by 7 wickets
