In Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case, One Suspect Detained By Mumbai Police
Saif Ali Khan News: A day after actor Saif Ali Khan was stashed to death in his Mumbai apartment, the alleged perpetrator has been arrested after a frantic manhunt involving technical data and police tip-offs across the financial city.
This morning, footage captured the man being escorted to the Bandra police station. There isn’t much we know about him, nor is it proven that he’s the same man who broke into the actor’s home yesterday and attacked him.
Police have not arrested anyone in the stabbing-trespassing investigation.
He was seen in Bandra Railway station following the incident yesterday, they said. The police think he changed clothes before running to avoid detection. The police had already constituted 20 teams and was compiling technical information and engaging informers to identify the suspects.
Similarly, the police team was also tenting up in Vasai and Nalasopara in search of the attacker who left Mr Khan bloodied when he took him to ground. The burglar, according to police, had broken into ‘Satguru Sharan’, the 12-storey building in a posh area of Bandra that houses the actor’s four-storeyed flat, to commit burglary.
The cops think the trespasser was acquainted with one of the Khans’ house-aides, and that is how he managed to sneak into the house without being caught on the lobby CCTV. Sources said they think he was familiar with the building layout and had access to the upper floors via the fire shaft after climbing the wall of an adjoining compound.
30 minutes passed by as the intruder pried into the building’s 11th floor while house-helps and Mr Khan attempted to repel him. His younger son Jeh's nanny was also injured while resisting him, and Mr Khan received six injuries in the brawl. Stripped, he was taken to a nearby hospital and treated on an emergency basis. He is no longer under threat.
