Hyd sees highest rise in housing sales
The city witnessed 38 per cent YoY growth in residential sales at 14,280 units, says Anarock data

Hyderabad: Hyderabad has recorded the highest rise in housing sales across top seven cities, with a 38 per cent increase at 19,660 units in January-March quarter (Q1) 2024 when compared to 14,280 units sold in the same quarter last year, says a report of real estate consultancy Anarock Group. Other key cities include MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region), NCR (Delhi region), Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata.
According to the report, Hyderabad has witnessed the maximum new launches across the top seven cities in India. The city has added approximately 22,960 units in Q1 2024 - a yearly jump of 57 per cent over the corresponding period last year. Over 33 per cent of the new supply was added in the high-ticket segment of price above Rs 1.5 crore.
NCR, MMR, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad together accounted for 91 per cent sales in the quarter. The bull-run in the Indian housing market continued in the first quarter of the year. Quarterly housing sales are at an all-time decadal high with 1.3 lakh units sold in Q1 2024 across the top 7 cities, reveals latest Anarock data. This is a 14 per cent yearly rise against 1.13 lakh units sold back in Q1 2023.
India’s overall economic scenario remains positive, with the country’s GDP growth rate pegged as the highest globally, and inflation also seems to be under control.
