Hyderabad: Ahead of the 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, the Gujarat Government on Friday held a roadshow in the city to promote business opportunities in Gujarat. Earlier, MSME Minister of Gujarat met with the heads of various organisations.
The curtain raiser event was held in New Delhi, followed by which the Gujarat Government hosted nine national roadshows and 11 international delegation visits. The Vibrant Gujarat 2024 delegation led by Jagdish Vishwakarma, Minister for MSME, concluded the national roadshows at Hyderabad.
Meela Jayadev, Executive Committee Member, FICCI delivered the welcome address. This was followed by the screening of an audio-visual film on Vibrant Gujarat 2024 and GIFT City. Subsequently, a presentation on business opportunities in Gujarat was given by Dr Kuldeep Arya, Addl Industries Commissioner, Government of Gujarat.
Addressing the gathering, Jagdish Vishwakarma emphasised on Gujarat's accomplishments across various sectors and highlighted the State's potential. “Gujarat contributes 8.3 per cent, around $282 billion, to India's GDP. The State has garnered a cumulative FDI of $55 billion from 2002-2022. Gujarat is home to the world's largest multinational companies, including over 500 Fortune Global companies. Gujarat boasts of over 13 lakh MSMEs employing more than 7.50 lakh individuals. The State has shown unparalleled performance in logistics and connectivity.”
In his concluding remarks, he said, “The 10th edition of VGGS is going to be held under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, will play a pivotal role in realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’.” He further asked everyone to note the seminars and conferences on topics such as semiconductor technology, sustainable manufacturing, green hydrogen, electric mobility, renewable energy, and Industry 4.0, planned to be held in the upcoming VGGS 2024. The roadshow concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mily Saxena, CMD, Ogive Technology LLP.
