Google Reveals I/0 2025 Dates for Its Premier Annual Event

Google has blazoned that its periodic I/ O inventor Conference will be held on May 20 21 20, 2025, in the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. The two- day conference is available in person as well as online, and will feature keynotes specialized sessions, as well as demonstrations fastening on AI developments and Android advancements.

Google events will start with the keynote address by CEO Sundar Pichai keynote at 10 am at PT on the 20th of May then a keynote address for developers and technical session. A new format has been introduced, Google will stream developer keynotes for its products live from Shoreline throughout the two days of the conference.

As per the custom, Google revealed the conference dates using an interactive game called "Prism Shift" in which players controlled light beams to shine on beacons.

Google's announcement suggests significant changes for the Gemini AI platform, Android 16 operating system, as well as cloud-based development tools. It's timetable is notably in line with Microsoft's Build conference, which is scheduled for May 19-22. it's not an accident, but rather an intentional move by both tech giants as they are racing to present their newest AI developments.

The choice of venue follows Google's previous tradition of holding Google I/O dates on the Shoreline Amphitheatre, adjacent to Google's headquarters. The only one exception being the cancellation in 2020 and the 2021 format that is online only due to the flu pandemic. The registration to attend the conference is open and is free for anyone who wants to participate.

It is interesting to note that the upcoming I/O event will be held in conjunction with Microsoft Build conference 2025 that is an event designed specifically on developers. Microsoft is likely to also announce its AI developments during Build which begins on May 19 until May 22.
