Visakhapatnam: GITAM, deemed to be a university, is set to host the inaugural International Syn Fuels Conference (ISFC 2024) on August 19-20 here.

The conference will bring together leading experts from academia, industry, and government to address the urgent global challenge of transitioning to clean energy sources. With the theme ‘integration of nuclear & hydrogen fuels for energy transition,” ISFC 2024 will delve into innovative solutions for a sustainable and reliable energy future.

Aligned with India’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat,’ ISFC is poised to highlight the country’s commitment to clean energy and sustainable development, contributing to the journey towards a greener and more prosperous future. The conference aims to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the development of strategies to accelerate the shift away from fossil fuels.

Professor VSRK Prasad, former Director, Indian Institute Petroleum and Energy & Chair, International Organising Committee, International Syn Fuel Conference 2024, told the media on Friday, “The International Syn Fuels Conference 2024 represents a critical step in addressing the global energy transition, particularly towards a clean energy future for India, emphasizing increased renewable capacity, reduced emissions, green hydrogen adoption, and energy efficiency, at a time when the world faces unprecedented energy challenges.”
