FTCCI to host EV meet on ‘Charging Up for E-Mobility’

Hyderabad: Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) is organising the EV Conference 2024 on “Charging Up for E-Mobility” at T-Hub here on June 15. The chief guest is Ponnam Prabhakar, Minister for Transport and BC Welfare, Government of Telangana, according to a release from FTCCI. The conclave will feature two panel discussions and two individual presentations by experts in the

EV sector. “Sustainable mobility is a necessity driven by the urgent need to combat climate change and reduce carbon footprint. It is noteworthy that Telangana is lagging behind in the adoption of electric vehicles compared to its neighbouring States, with EVs constituting only 0.8 per cent of Telangana’s total vehicle population of 1.6 crore. The State falls significantly short of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and even Kerala in the number of EV vehicles registered.
