Federation of Telangana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) said its Tourism Committee will be hosting ETM (Experiential Tourism MICE) Conclave, a national level exhibition in Hyderabad on July 29 and 30, 2024, at HICC. Two days prior the main event six FAM Tours (familiarisation tours) will be held on July 27 and 28, 2024.

The event is being organised with the support of the Government of Telangana, and the Tourism department. The Tourism Committee of FTCCI has collaborated with iConex, a New Delhi- based organiser of international conferences and exhibitions.

Vijay Mohan Raj, Advisor, FTCCI Tourism Committee, said: ‘The ETM conclave promotes the city and tourism potential of Telangana state. Tourism industry globally contributes $7.7 trillion to the GDP. Tourism is the largest industry across the globe. Hence, we have to work together to ensure that it gets its due recognition by the government. In India tourism contributed three per cent to the GDP, before Covid. It fell to 0.6 per cent during the pandemic. Now the industry has fully recovered. Tourism should get industry status.’
