The Hyderabad chapter of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) on Friday organised an MSME-focused session titled, ‘Navigating to success: the MSME way,’ at the National Institute of MSME (ni-msme), in the city.

At the event, senior staff members of ni-msme familiarised FLO members with various MSME schemes, loan formalities, and Udyam registration process. FLO has launched an MSME help desk at FLO Hyderabad Chapter to focus on the Udyam registration drive for FLO members and non-members.

In opening remarks, Priya Gazdar, Chairperson, FLO Hyderabad, said: “Ficci Flo, at the national level, is entering into a knowledge exchange collaboration agreement with ni-msme, to foster the progress of MSMEs.” This MoU will be signed during MSME Conclave, organised by FLO in the city on June 24, 2024.

Addressing the gathering Dr S Glory Swarupa, Director General, ni-msme, citing Kinara Capital’s MSME Insights Report 2024, said that women-owned MSMEs hire 11 per cent more women employees compared to those owned by men. The study further highlighted that women MSMEs were better at cost optimization, income growth, and repayment of business loans. This proves that social benefits of economic growth can only be maximised if women business owners are given equal opportunities to compete and succeed, Dr Swarupa added.

FLO Hyderabad has launched a Digital Ready Reckoner - a compilation of MSME schemes relevant to women entrepreneurs. The Reckoner, accessible to FLO’s 12,000 members across 24 regional chapter’s pan-India, will be updated quarterly to ensure continued accuracy.
