Delhi Police has made a major arrest, apprehending 19-year-old Annu Dhankar, known as ‘Lady Don,’ for her involvement in the murder of a man at a Burger King in Rajouri Garden. Dhankar, a proclaimed offender since the June 18 incident resulting in the death of Aman, was captured near the Indo-Nepal border in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Amit Kaushik stated that Dhankar, hailing from Rohtak, Haryana, was linked to infamous gangster Himanshu Bhau, underscoring ongoing initiatives to curb gang-related violence in the region.
Meanwhile, security forces intensified their search efforts in Gulmarg and Butapathri forests, deploying drones and helicopters to track down the terrorists behind Thursday’s attack on army vehicles, which left two soldiers and two porters dead. The operation began along the Line of Control (LoC) and later extended into the deeper forest following intelligence reports suggesting the attackers had retreated into the area. The expanded efforts emphasise the region’s commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring the safety of security forces.
