An advocate from the city has filed a complaint at the Saidabad police station against former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the TTD Chairman, board members, and officials.
The complaint claims that low-quality ghee mixed with animal fat was used in the preparation of the sacred Tirupati laddu prasadam.
K. Karuna Sagar, who practises at the High Court, emphasised that the laddu prasadam has been a vital part of Hindu faith for over 300 years, symbolising divine blessings.
He expressed his dismay upon reviewing a lab test report from NDDB CALF Ltd, which confirmed the presence of animal fat in the ghee used for the famous Tirupati laddu.
He has urged the police to investigate the issue and take action against those involved, stating that such practices offend the religious sentiments of Hindus.
