CII AP team visits Sri City to study its success story

Hyderabad: A 16-member delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Vijayawada Zone, Andhra Pradesh, embarked on a two-day learning mission to Sri City on Thursday and Friday. The delegation was received by C Ramesh Kumar, Vice President (Customer Relations), Sri City.
Welcoming the delegates, he highlighted the distinctive attributes of Sri City, and explained how the ‘city’ has become one of the major industrial parks in the country and a global business gateway, aligning with the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
The objective of the visit was to provide participants with opportunities for cross-learning and hands-on exposure to best practices implemented by some of the ‘city’ leading industries. Companies such as Havells, Alstom, Daikin Aluminium, and Danieli hosted interactive sessions, offering the participants insights into their technological capabilities and manufacturing processes.
The delegation was led by DV Ravindranath, Chairman of CII Vijayawada Zone, and Dr V Nagalakshmi, Vice Chairperson of CII Vijayawada Zone. It comprised senior and mid-level executives from CII member companies representing various manufacturing firms in Andhra Pradesh.
During the briefing session, delegates showed keen interest and posed questions on various aspects. Later, they toured the industrial zone for a firsthand experience.
