Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 15: Surpasses Rs 400 Crore Pan-India by End of Second Week

Laxman Utekar's action-packed epic, Chhaava, featuring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, remains a dominant force at the box office. The film, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing Rs 400 crore in total earnings, standing at Rs 403.52 crore by the end of its second week.

On Day 15 (2nd Friday), Chhaava earned Rs 4.02 crore by 4 PM, contributing to its overall collection. The film saw strong momentum right from its release on February 14 and has been maintaining impressive numbers ever since.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film debuted with Rs 31 crore on its opening day (1st Friday). It experienced steady growth throughout its opening weekend, amassing Rs 48.5 crore by Day 3 (1st Sunday), a significant 31.08% increase. However, it faced a sharp decline on Day 4 (1st Monday), with collections dropping to Rs 24 crore, reflecting a 50.52% drop. The total for the first week was Rs 219.25 crore.

In Week 2, Chhaava saw some fluctuations. Day 8 (2nd Friday) saw a rise to Rs 23.5 crore, followed by an even stronger Day 9 (2nd Saturday), which earned Rs 44 crore. However, there was a slight drop on Day 10 (2nd Sunday) to Rs 40 crore, and further dips followed through the next few days, with Day 14 (2nd Thursday) recording Rs 13.25 crore. Despite these fluctuations, the second week closed with Rs 180.25 crore, a 17.79% drop from Week 1.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also acknowledged the film’s success, praising it during his speech at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in Delhi. He highlighted the contributions of Maharashtra and Mumbai in the growth of both Hindi and Marathi cinema, noting the widespread buzz surrounding Chhaava.
