One of the images captured by the area's CCTV cameras showed the main suspect 'without a hat or a mask.' An explosion at Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookfield on March 1 injured about ten people, including both employees and patrons. The bombing investigation at Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe was assigned to the National Investigation Agency by the Ministry of Home Affairs on March 4.

After the explosion, officials from the local unit of the National Investigations Agency (NIA) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) investigated the scene and filed a case under the Explosives Substances Act and Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, has stated that an IED is likely responsible for the explosion. An earlier image of the suspected bomber, captured from surveillance footage, had been posted by the NIA. The photo shows the bomber entering and exiting the cafe while wearing a mask, glasses, and a cap.
Investigation update on Bengaluru blast
Anyone with information regarding the main suspect could contact the agency via the provided email addresses and phone numbers. The agency further promised to protect the confidentiality of the informants. To find out who the bomber is, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) put up a reward of ₹10 lakh on Wednesday.
