Breaking News: In the early morning of Tuesday, commuters in India's IT capital were forced to ditch their cars and walk home owing to severe traffic delays.
The Electronics City flyover, a critical connectivity point for thousands of tech professionals, turned into a parking lot. Vehicles crawled at a snail's pace, with many giving up and walking to their destinations.
After the incident, on Tuesday, Bengaluru traffic police issued an alert, saying, " Emergency work will be carried out from the 25.10.2024 night to 28.10.2024 morning on the road, between Sai baba Layout Cross to Doddamara Junction on Rayasandra Road which falls under the jurisdiction of Electronic City Traffic Police Station. It is pertinent to mention that the heavy vehicles viz. BMTC/ Private buses, heavy goods/transport vehicles, are not allowed to travel in this route."
