Apple's highly anticipated iOS 18.1 update, touted to introduce revolutionary Apple Intelligence, has reportedly been delayed. Initially expected to roll out in mid-October, the update is now likely to arrive on October 28, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

Speaking of the reason for the delay, Mark Gurman claimed that Apple is taking extra time to resolve potential bugs and verify that its private cloud computing servers can handle the high volume of traffic from millions of users.

Here are some features that will roll out in iOS 18.1:

The new feature will include writing tools, a redesigned Siri, and "Clean Up" features for photos. Also, additional functionality such as ChatGPT integration and Genmoji will be added in a subsequent release.

Expected breakouts of the feature:

October: iOS 18.1 update

December: iOS 18.2 update with generative AI tools like ChatGPT, genmoji and Image Playground

Early 2025: iOS 18.3 and iOS 18.4 with new Siri rollout

The iOS 18.1 update is expected to greatly improve the iPhone 16 series and iPhone 15 Pro owners' experiences, giving them initial access to these new features. Furthermore, rumours suggest that the iPhone SE 4, which is slated to be released early next year, will include Apple Intelligence.
