Anurag Thakur announced the government's goal to turn India into a developed nation, termed 'Viksit Bharat', by 2047. Thakur criticized the previous UPA government for its corruption and scandals, highlighting that many young people might not remember these events due to their age at the time.
He mentioned infamous scams like the 2G and CWG scandals, as well as others like AgustaWestland and the Coal scam, which plagued the country from 2009 to 2014. Anurag Thakur praises Modi as the Master of Digital Information in recent statement crediting him as a beacon of hope for a clean government under BJP leadership. He proudly stated that in the past decade, there hasn't been a single corruption allegation against Modi or his ministers.
