The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has released the schedule for special religious events and festivities set to take place in March 2025 at the Tirumala and Tirupati temples. Devotees are expected to participate in large numbers for these auspicious occasions.
The significant events for the month begin with Thirukkachinambi Sattumora on March 7. Following this, Tirumala Srivari Theppotsavam, a major annual float festival, will commence on March 9 and conclude on March 13. This ritual, observed at the Swami Pushkarini temple tank, is a key attraction for devotees.
On March 10, Maha Ekadashi will be observed, drawing pilgrims for special prayers and rituals. Kumaradhara Theertha Mukkoti, another important spiritual event, is scheduled for March 14.
March 25 marks Sara Ekadashi, a significant day for fasting and prayer. Additionally, Annamacharya Vardhanti, a tribute to the revered saint-poet Annamacharya, will be observed on March 28. The month’s religious events will culminate with Ugadi Asthanam, marking the Telugu New Year, at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple on March 30.
At Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor, several special programs will take place throughout March. Tiruchi Utsavam is scheduled for four Fridays—March 7, 14, 21, and 28—starting at 8 p.m.
A special procession on March 24, coinciding with Uttara Nakshatra, will be held at 6:45 p.m., during which the deity will be carried in a grand parade through the temple streets. On Ugadi, March 30, at 6 p.m., a special Pushpa Pallaki Seva (flower palanquin procession) will be conducted in celebration of the New Year.
At Sri Surya Narayana Swamy Temple, Sri Surya Jayanthi Utsavam will be held on March 18 at 5 p.m., an important event for devotees of the Sun God. Additionally, a grand Tiruchi Utsavam at the Sri Sundara Raja Swamy Temple is set for March 2 at 6 p.m.
With thousands of devotees expected to visit Tirumala and surrounding temples for these religious festivities, TTD has urged pilgrims to plan their travel in advance and adhere to temple guidelines during their visit. Special arrangements are being made to ensure smooth darshan and participation in all religious ceremonies.
