The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has released the schedule for special festivals taking place at the Srivari Temple in February. Devotees can look forward to several significant religious observances during the month, with details on dates and events now officially outlined by TTD.
The celebrations will begin with Vasant Panchami on February 2, followed by Rathasaptami on February 4, and concluding with Mahashivratri on February 26. These key observances will be complemented by additional rituals, providing devotees an opportunity to engage in various spiritual activities at the temple.
The February 2025 schedule includes:
- February 2: Vasant Panchami
- February 4: Rathasaptami
- February 5: Bhishmaashtami
- February 6: Madhvanavami
- February 8: Bhishma Ekadashi
- February 12: Sri Ramakrishna Tirtha Mukkoti and Magha Purnima
- February 24: Sarva Ekadashi
- February 26: Mahashivratri
TTD has made extensive preparations for the Rathasaptami festival, ensuring the event's grandeur with a series of ceremonial vehicle parades. The Rathasaptami event, set for February 4, will feature Lord Malayappa Swamy, who will be carried in procession on seven different vehicles throughout the day, creating a spectacle for the thousands of devotees expected to attend.
Vehicle Parade Schedule for Rathasaptami:
- 5:30 AM - 8:00 AM: Surya Prabha Vahanam (to honor the Sun God, coinciding with sunrise at 6:44 AM)
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Small Relic Vehicle
- 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Garuda Vahanam
- 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Hanuman Vahanam
- 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Chakrasnanam
- 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Kalpavriksha Vahanam
- 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Sarvabhupala Vahanam
- 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Chandraprabha Vahanam
On Rathasaptami day, several regular rituals will be paused, including the Ashtadala Pada Padmaradhana, Kalyanotsavam, Oonjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva. VIP break darshans will also be suspended, except for protocol dignitaries. Furthermore, no recommendation letters for break darshans will be accepted on February 3.
