Stone Laid For Reliance Biogas Plant As Part Of Rs 65K-cr plan

Visakhapatnam:As part of the efforts to give a big boost to clean energy movement, the NDA government initiated a significant industrial project in the backward Prakasam district as Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh laid the foundation stone for the Integrated Compressed Biogas (CBG) Plant being set up by Reliance New Energy near Divakarapalli village in PC Palli mandal in Kanigiri constituency of backward Prakasam district on Wednesday.
Reliance Industries Director PMS Prasad, Reliance Industries Limited AP & TS Mentor PVL Madhava Rao, and Reliance Bioenergy CEO Harindra K Tripathi participated in the groundbreaking ceremony along with Lokesh.
Spanning 475 acres, this state-of-the-art CBG plant is being established with an investment of Rs.139 crore and a production capacity of 100 tonnes. This project is the first of Reliance’s 500 CBG plants across the State, marking the first milestone in this ambitious plan. Minister Nara Lokesh performed the foundation stone-laying ceremony for this pioneering facility.
Reliance Industries is investing a total of Rs65,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, which is expected to generate employment and livelihood opportunities for approximately 2.5 lakh individuals. The company is also setting up four CBG hubs across India, with one of them strategically located in Prakasam district.
Upon arriving at the plant site, Lokesh was warmly welcomed by coalition representatives, TDP leaders, and party workers.
Several distinguished guests participated in the ceremony, including Ministers Gottipati Ravi Kumar and Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand, District Collector A Thameem Ansari, Kanigiri MLA Mukku Ugra Narasimha Reddy, Giddaluru MLA M Ashok Reddy, Chirala MLA Madduluri Malakondaiah Yadav, Kandukuru MLA Inturi Nageswara Rao, MLC Kancherla Srikanth, Darshi in-charge Gottipati Lakshmi, former Darshi MLA N Paparao, AP Maritime Board Chairman Damacharla Satya, AP Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Nookasani Balaji, and State Agriculture Mission Vice Chairman Marreddy Srinivasa Reddy.
