RINL Union Opposes Allowance Withdrawals

Visakhapatnam: INTUC-affiliated Visakha Steel Employees’ Congress (VSEC) on Monday decried the decision of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant to withdraw certain allowances being given to the executives and non-executives with immediate effect. In a representation to the CMD, VSEC president Neerkuna Ramachandra Rao said that employees of all categories are hard hit due to harsh decisions taken by the management. He deplored the recent decision to discontinue HRA, LTC/LTA/LLTC, leave encashment, subsidies and other perquisites. The anti-welfare measures are detrimental to the interest of the employees, he said. All these payments were being given as part of tripartite agreements.
