PM Modi inaugurates over ₹2 lakh crore worth of projects in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a series of ambitious projects in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, with a total value surpassing ₹2 lakh crore. Among the key initiatives, he laid the foundation stone for a new railway zone and a cutting-edge integrated green hydrogen hub by NTPC in Pudimadaka, Anakapalli district.
The green hydrogen hub is part of a joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Ltd and the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP), marking a significant step towards clean energy development in the region.
Additionally, the Prime Minister virtually launched the Krishnapatnam industrial hub, a ₹1,518 crore project to be built on 2,500 acres, expected to generate 50,000 job opportunities. He also laid the foundation for a ₹1,877 crore bulk drug park in Nakkapalli, an investment of ₹11,542 crore, which will create 54,000 jobs.
This marks Modi’s first visit to the state since his third consecutive term as Prime Minister in 2024. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan were present at the event.
