Visakhapatnam: NTPC Simhadri continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to community development by organising a series of CSR initiatives in and around Muthyalamma Palem with total expenditure of Rs40.65 lakh.

The event commenced with the inauguration of a free comprehensive eye screening camp, where nearly 400 beneficiaries from Muthyalamma Palem, Tikkavanipalem, and nearby villages received free consultations, medicines, and spectacles. Arrangements were also made for cataract surgeries to support individuals in need of advanced care.

Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu who inaugurated the camp, later laid the foundation stone for CC drains, spanning 320 meters at four locations in Muthyalamma Palem and 20 KL overhead service reservoir (OHSR) tank, provided under NTPC’s Jal Jyothi Mission (JJM) to enhance water supply infrastructure. NTPC Simhadri’s CSR efforts are also shown through the sponsorship support of Rs2.48 lakh provided to Ch. Yogindra for participation in "Karate-1-Youth League, Fujairah, UAE 2025". Head of Project, NTPC Simhadri Sameer Sharma reiterated the company’s dedication to sustainable community development.

He assured that such initiatives, guided by NTPC’s CSR policy and the needs of the community, would continue to make a positive impact. He also encouraged the local population to actively participate and benefit from these programs.
