Visakhapatnam: National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) in partnership with the US Consulate General Hyderabad, Alliance for Commercialization and Innovation Research (ACIR), and Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS), has completed the second cohort of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) program in Andhra Pradesh.

The initiative is designed to inspire, educate, and empower aspiring women entrepreneurs across India. NRDC, serving as the ecosystem partner and facilitator, guided over 30 women entrepreneurs from AP equipping them with essential skills, knowledge, and resources to thrive in today's competitive business environment.

The AWE program leverages public-private sponsors, local partnerships, and the US Exchange Alumni network to promote localised economic growth in communities worldwide, spanning over 100 countries. Building on its earlier success, NRDC had also organised the AWE program-2023 in collaboration with the US Consulate General Hyderabad, bringing together 30 exceptional women entrepreneurs.

Through these initiatives, NRDC continues to champion women-led businesses, fostering innovation and driving inclusive economic development.

“This sort of cohort was part of the holistic approach towards women’s empowerment. Beyond imparting business skills, we strived to instill confidence, capacity building, resilience, ethnocentric, value creation," Dr B K Sahu, Head-Outreach Office, NRDC.
