Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu began ‘Invest in AP’ campaign on the second day of the 55th annual meeting of World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, by declaring their thrust on Speed of Doing Business (SoDB) and pledging unwavering support to the industrial community, underlining the growing significance of continuous research and development to further reduce energy costs.
“We will produce quality products for the global community and handhold industrialists to succeed. The Speed of Doing Business is now our mantra,” he said in his address to a special session organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on green industrialization. With a clear focus on sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration, Andhra Pradesh is on the path to becoming a pioneer in green energy and green hydrogen, cementing its position as a key player in the future of global energy., he declared.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to transforming AP into a clean energy hub, with a mission-mode approach to achieving sustainability goals. Key initiatives include a massive $115 billion investment in the fuel sector to produce 500MW of renewable energy and 500 million metric tons (MMT) of green energy by 2030, contributing 30% to the national target.
A day after interacting with his Telangana counterpart A Revanth Reddy and the Telugu Diaspora in Zurich, he highlighted his longstanding partnership with CII since 1995 and reflected on his journey of driving transformative change, citing Hyderabad’s emergence as one of India’s most livable cities and a global hub for IT, healthcare, and innovation as proof of concept.
