Minor Girl Set On Fire By Youth Dies In Kadapa

Amaravati: A minor college student, on whom a married youth poured petrol and set her on fire died in a hospital in YSR Kadapa district on Sunday.

The incident drew strong criticism mainly on social media across the State. The victim was admitted to Kadapa RIMS Hospital, where she was admitted after the heinous attack on her by one J Vignesh on Saturday. She died while undergoing treatment in the early hours. A case under POCSO has been booked by the police.

Expressing deep regret over the ghastly incident in which a girl student of Intermediate at Budvel of Kadapa district was set on fire, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the police officials of the district to complete the investigation fast and see to it that the accused is punished severely.
