Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Vice-Chairman-cum-Managing Director Kata Amrapali has said that the State Government is keen on transforming Visakhapatnam as a world-class tourism hub.
During an interactive session at a meeting organised by AP Tourism Forum (APTF), she said various projects are being undertaken to augment the infrastructure to increase the number of tourists. She said the new tourism policy aims to encourage niche tourism in various theme-based areas with private participation.
The session brought together key stakeholders, including APTF president K, Vijay Mohan, Secretary M.V. Pavan Kartheek, vice president S Prasanth, and prominent industry leaders like V Prabhu Kishore, Chairman of Varun Group and K. Raghavendra Rao, Chairman of Daspalla Hotels. The discussion focused on the challenges faced by hotels and explored opportunities for tourism development in Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh. The interactive session was highly engaging, with active participation from hotel representatives and tourism stakeholders.
