CM Naidu Concerned Over 5 Diarrhoea Deaths

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday expressed serious concern over the death of five persons due to diarrhoea at Gurla village in Vizianagaram district in the past two days.

Against the backdrop of the death of four persons on a single day on Monday, the Chief Minister inquired about the prevailing situation in the area and sought the details from the officials of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

He also inquired about the details on how the treatment is being provided to those who are suffering from the problem and the sanitary works being taken up in the village.

The Chief Minister also told the officials to be alert as heavy rains are lashing the State and asked about the details on the situation in various parts of the State, including Nellore district which is experiencing heavy downpour. Naidu directed the officials to continuously update him on the situation in the State, particularly the rain-hit districts.
