Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has extended his gratitude to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates after receiving a special gift from him—a copy of Gates' upcoming book, Source Code. The book, which highlights lessons and experiences from Gates' life journey, is set to release soon. Taking to Twitter, Naidu shared his appreciation, acknowledging the personal connection with Gates. He said, "Thank you, my friend Bill Gates, for gifting me a copy of *Source Code*. The book encapsulates insights from your inspiring journey, from leaving college to establishing Microsoft. Wishing you the best on the release."

During his participation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Naidu had the opportunity to meet Gates in person. This interaction was centered around advancing technological collaboration, with Naidu inviting Gates to join an advisory board for the proposed AI University in Andhra Pradesh. Naidu highlighted the state's vision to become a leader in AI research and development, seeking Gates' expertise in the endeavor.

Additionally, Naidu proposed the establishment of a Center of Excellence for Health Innovation and Diagnostics in the state, underscoring the importance of integrating health and technology for future advancements. Nara Lokesh, the state's Minister, also made a plea to Gates to consider Andhra Pradesh as the gateway for the Gates Foundation’s activities in South India. Lokesh highlighted the potential for collaboration to boost the state's IT sector, further seeking Gates' support to foster growth in the sector.

In line with these discussions, Naidu also addressed the key takeaways from his participation at WEF. Upon his return to Vijayawada, he convened a meeting with the Chief Secretary and CMO officials to strategize the implementation of plans aimed at attracting significant investments to Andhra Pradesh. Naidu emphasized the need for practical, actionable strategies to turn the discussions at WEF into tangible results. He stated that CEOs and representatives from various domestic and international companies are expected to visit the state soon, and preparations should be made accordingly to facilitate these engagements. The Chief Minister outlined that over the next six months, his administration would work diligently to implement the outlined plans, which aim to elevate the state's status as a key destination for investment and innovation.
