Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has restarted the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) project works in Rayapudi village.

These works are coming back after a break of five years because the previous government, led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, stopped the project.

Naidu had started the CRDA project when he was in charge from 2014 to 2019, building a big office building that cost ₹160 crore.

But from 2019 to 2024, the former Chief Minister focused on having three capital cities instead of developing Amaravati, which is part of the CRDA project.

Now that Naidu is back as Chief Minister after the 2024 elections, the Amaravati project is moving forward again.

On October 16, officials decided to restart the works during a CRDA authority meeting.
