BEE Launches Nationwide Survey On Energy-Efficient Cooling Solutions

Vijayawada: The central government has launched a nationwide survey on shaping the future of energy-efficient cooling solutions as part of resolve to promote sustainable development.
The initiative aims to engage citizens in identifying energy-efficient cooling solutions that reduce electricity consumption, lower carbon emissions, and mitigate climate change effects, senior officials of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the Ministry of Power said on Sunday. To ensure the success of this mission, BEE has directed State Designated Agencies (SDAs) in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, who are active in implementing energy efficient policies and in other parts of the country to facilitate participation in the survey.
BEE Secretary Milind Deore in a letter to SDAs said this initiative aligns with the vision of Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister for Power, Housing & Urban Development, reinforcing the government’s commitment to promoting sustainable cooling practices, enhancing energy efficiency, and combating climate change. By involving citizens, industries, and stakeholders, the survey
will help shape policies and innovations in the cooling technology sector.
The survey is now live and accessible at https://www.mygov.in/mygov-survey/shape-future-energy-efficient-cooling/, and will remain open until March 25. BEE South India Media Advisor A. Chandra Sekhara Reddy said it takes only a few minutes to complete.
